A company that does not have a perfectly defined strategy has “a pretty bad future,” warns business school professor Pablo Foncillas. According to research he carried out, 21% of board members regularly discussed strategy issues that were never fully resolved.

The answer could indicate that it is a “live” issue in companies but at the same time “optimal time is not devoted to working on it”. Despite the lack of depth on this point, the management expert recalls that strategic decisions commit the long-term resources of an organization and that it is “obvious” that they are not improvised.
