The model Chrissy Teigen has lived the most surreal hours of her life. The wife of Oscar-winning composer John Legend joined the trend of trying to discover her origins by taking a DNA test and she found something she did not expect at all: finding out that she had an identical twin.

The model of Thai origin experienced the strange moment last Sunday, when she shared with her followers how taking the test led her to live the most surreal 24 hours of her life. Getting tested came as part of her personal “health and wellness” journey, and after trying to find out about her past, she didn’t expect to find herself having a twin.

“The first thing that came up after discovering that I was part Neanderthal was this: I have an identical twin. This has to be a joke, right?” the model wondered on the social network. However, she decided to investigate, and sent a message to the presumed “twin” of hers through the labs app, before asking the support team if there could be a flaw in that 100% match with that presumed double. .

“I text my doctor, call my dad, and literally say, ‘Dad, hey, you saw me come out of mom’s vagina and there were two of me?’ to which the man can’t help but laugh: ‘No! I was there, there weren’t two like you!’ And I was like, were you sure you weren’t there?”

Not content with that, the model called her older sister -the real one, Tina Teigen- who gave such a start when she asked about the alleged existence of a twin that the model for a moment thought that the information had been hidden from her during her 37 years of life. From there, she began to think about more things and possibilities than necessary, trying to explain things in her life that had no reason for her before but that having a twin would have, such as having addiction problems or feeling that she always loved him. there had been “something” missing in his life.

However, the decisive moment came, and that is that she could think what she wanted, because the reality is that the model does not have any identical twin. That is, unless she considers that she herself may be her own twin.

The model did have an identical twin, but the reality was that the results she was comparing her tests to were her own results, from years before. The answer was given by her sister Tina, who reminded her how the whole family had taken DNA tests years before under other names when they were preparing their appearance on the program Find your roots, on the American public chain. The episode never aired, but the test was sent to the labs, recording the result.

“I was my identical twin,” Teigen tells in networks, before sharing the drawing of a tombstone for ‘Sissy Teigen’, as she has baptized this new “member” of her family; in which she says: “Sister, aunt and friend”, dating her birth and death on June 4, 2023.
