After the cascade of criticism received for not including any appearing parties from the scientific and critical field in the elaboration of the Doñana irrigation law, the Board announced that it would expand the list.

Thus, today Tuesday the commission for Promotion, Articulation of the Territory and Housing of the Andalusian Parliament has approved expanding the list of people who will speak before said body to give their opinion on the proposed law of PP and Vox to regularize irrigated areas in the Huelva County region, in which the president of the Doñana Participation Council, Miguel Delibes de Castro, has been included.

However, some people of special relevance in the sector are left out, such as the director of the Biological Station of the National Park, Eloy Revilla.

In addition, this unique incorporation of Delibes has been achieved with the vote of Vox against, although it has come out without a problem because the popular ones have an absolute majority in the autonomous parliament. According to Abascal’s party, the refusal was because the president of the Doñana Participation Council has previously gone to the Chamber to address this issue.

The same sources have clarified that all appearances have been set for next Tuesday, June 13.

Last week, the groups of the PP-A and Vox registered a letter informing the president of the Parliament, Jesús Aguirre, of the convocation of the table of the aforementioned commission to address an extension of the list of appearing parties on the aforementioned bill, two days after both formations approved, with the rejection of PSOE-A, Por Andalucía and the Grupo Mixto-Adelante Andalucía, a list of 23 appearing to present their opinion regarding the aforementioned bill, among which was included the third vice president of the Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, but not Miguel Delibes, who had been requested by the three groups on the left.

This generated the protest of these three groups and led the PSOE-A to register a request to appear in Parliament on Thursday, before the Sustainability, Environment and Blue Economy commission, of Miguel Delibes, to expose the situation of Doñana, after the “veto” of PP-A and Vox to its inclusion in the list of appearing parties on the proposed irrigation law.

Miguel Delibes himself also criticized that he had not been summoned to this commission, considering that it was “a lack of respect” that “he was excluded” from the list of appearing parties, but “not so much by me, since my opinion is well known, but because of what it transmits”, according to what he pointed out.

For her part, the Third Vice President of the Government, Teresa Ribera, ruled out last week that she would appear in said commission, and through a comment on her Twitter account suggested that experts linked to the National Park be invited to appear in the commission. from Doñana, such as Miguel Delibes de Castro himself, or the director of the Doñana Biological Station, Eloy Revilla. “I’m sure they’ll learn more,” said the also minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

The list of appearing parties approved by the PP and Vox last week includes, in addition to Teresa Ribera, and now Miguel Delibes, the mayors of the Huelva municipalities of Rociana del Condado, Almonte, Bonares, Lucena del Puerto and Moguer.

Also, representatives of the Federation of Agri-food Cooperatives of Andalusia, the agricultural organization COAG Andalucía, the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation (CHG) and the CCOO-A union, as well as the farmer Joaquín Regidor García; the head of the Huelva Land Management Office, Ana Walerta González; the retired CHG official Juan Saura, the CEO of Ceres Agroforestal, Juan Manuel Ponce; Javier Domínguez Rodríguez, from JDR Abogados; to a representative of the Platform in Defense of Irrigation of the County, Javier Gutiérrez Padilla, and of the organization WWF Spain.

The official of the Junta de Andalucía Joaquín Regidor has also been summoned; and representatives of the UPA and Asaja agrarian organizations, the UGT-A union, the Freshuelva organization, and Juan Antonio Millán, from the Huelva Irrigation Confederation (Corehu).
