Every day that passes is one less than “Save me” has left to exist. Despite the multiple initiatives carried out to try to keep the veteran afternoon program on the air, it seems that no one will be able to save it from its end. Without going any further, Mediaset has already begun to prepare the ground for a future without Jorge Javier Vázquez, Belén Esteban and company. And it is that Telecinco has already begun to broadcast promotional videos of the first program that will occupy its slot: ‘Asà es la vida’.
The debut of this campaign took place last Tuesday night, during the broadcast of ‘Survivors: No Man’s Land’. The images, recorded on a beach of paradisiacal origin, reveal who will be the presenter of this new space: Sandra Barneda. It is speculated that the video was recorded in the Dominican Republic, where the Catalan has finished recording the seventh edition of ‘The island of temptations’. In fact, the production company in charge of launching this new space is Cuarzo Producciones, responsible for the aforementioned reality show.
The promotion gives a small preview of the content that can be seen in the program, from the voice of Barneda herself. “This summer I am not going to step on the beach, but I will visit them all. I won’t pose with any ‘celebrity’, but we will have the best exclusives. Because that’s life, your new daily appointment in which the heart, the news and the funniest interviews will make you spend an unforgettable summer â€, reads the presenter’s dialogue.
In this way, the native of Barcelona also confirms that it is only a temporary replacement. Barneda will occupy the slot of ‘Save me’ during the summer months, without yet finishing giving a specific day of premiere. In this way, it will prepare the ground for the arrival in September of Ana Rosa Quintana, as Mediaset had foreseen when it decided to cancel the veteran heart program presented by Jorge Javier Vázquez.
Precisely speaking of ‘Save me’, his last days are not exactly the most positive. Despite having celebrated the wedding of Kiko Matamoros and Marta López Ãlamo in style with extensive coverage, the foundations of the evening magazine are gradually falling apart. The initiative to declare the program an Asset of Cultural Interest collapsed the signature page after five minutes, but the chain’s decision has been made. In addition, last weekend they lost their driver permanently.
And it is that Jorge Javier Vázquez himself announced his retirement from television. The one from Badalona had been absent since mid-May due to medical leave, and did not return to his star program or to the ‘Survivors’ galas. The only image of his state that appeared on the networks was that of a visit to the theater with his friend RocÃo Carrasco. Both were spotted at the Coliseum Theater in Madrid, enjoying a performance of ‘Aladdin’.
