The renowned Royal Film Concert Orchestra (RFCO), under the direction of maestro Fernando Furone, will offer a concert next Wednesday, June 14, at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, ​​a stage with great acoustics.
In it, the orchestra will perform the best-known themes from the Star Wars saga, composed by the Oscar-winning and acclaimed composer John Williams, from the famous Main Theme to the Imperial March, going through classics such as Duel of the Fates, Across the Stars or Canteen Band.
In addition, the concert will also sound the soundtrack of Star Trek: Into Darkness and that of Indiana Jones, the latter also composed by John Williams. In this way, the repertoire is not only focused on Star Wars, but the best action movies also have their place.
The Royal Film Concert Orchestra is an orchestra that is made up of “professionals belonging to the best European orchestras and schools whose musicians not only approach the classical repertoire but also other styles,” he said in a statement. In addition, with the vocation of being a benchmark in the interpretation of film music, it has a great technical team and its own composers.
The orchestra, made up of more than 60 teachers, belongs to the Excelentia Foundation and offers concerts in the best venues in Spain. Likewise, he has specialized in the interpretation of complete films with live music.
He has performed at the Teatro Real in Madrid, the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, the Barcelona Auditorium, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Miguel Delibes Auditorium in Valladolid, the Maestranza Theater in Seville, the Mallorca Auditorium, the Palau de la Música in Valencia, among other scenarios.
It has offered concerts of all kinds, including the interpretation for the first time in Spain of the film James Bond Casino Royal at the Teatro Real.
