The end of Save me is getting closer. The Telecinco program will say goodbye to the screens next Friday, June 23. Since the news broke, the entire space team and collaborators have given their all in the last remaining programs and have shown that the essence that characterizes Sálvame so much will continue to be present until the last day.
The decision was made by the new board of directors of the audiovisual company, which is trying to give the chain a new image. In addition, the format that will replace Sálvame during the summer is already underway with its presenter, Sandra Barneda, whom we have been able to see in the new promotion of Asà es la vida.
But although the collaborators are giving everything of themselves to enjoy these latest programs to the fullest, the absence of one of the most important people on the program is making the farewell even harder.
The presenter Jorge Javier Vázquez has been out for several weeks. He himself announced on his social networks that it was not part of his plans to return to television, since his body needed to stop to recover. “Right now, going back is the last thing on my mind, although it may be what I most want tomorrow,” he wrote.
Despite these words, there are many who expect the presenter to be present on the last day of the broadcast, to say goodbye to the program that has been part of his life for the last 14 years.
The void left by Jorge Javier Vázquez is so great that many of his teammates have not been able to avoid dedicating a few words to him. That is what Belén Esteban wanted to do during Wednesday’s program. The collaborator has asked for a few minutes live to send a message to her great friend. ” I want to send a message to a very special person for me ”, she began by saying it.
“A person with whom in these 14 years I have had 1,200 hooked up with him, that person is called Jorge Javier Vázquez,” he declared. ”On the 23rd, the program of which we have to be very proud ends, Sálvame ends, we have had a lot of criticism. Jorge, on the 23rd you have to make an effort, I know you’re on leave because you’re not feeling well, but on the 23rd you have to be here because I and my colleagues and all the people in Spain need you,” he confessed.
”On the 23rd I would like you to be by our side because we miss you and for me the best presenter that has ever been at Mediaset and in Spain is called Jorge Javier Vázquez”, he concluded with great applause from the entire audience.
