The changes in the internal structure of Mediaset España continue their course after the merger of the corporation with its Italian parent company Media For Europe, a process that culminated at the beginning of May.
The departure of Paolo Vasile as CEO of the communication group, at the end of last year 2022, led to a profound renovation of the entire leadership of Mediaset. Since then, the baton has been in charge of Borja Prado as president and Alessandro Salem assuming the same function that corresponded to Vasile.
Coinciding with these appointments, numerous changes have been made to the programming schedule of Telecinco and Cuatro, the result of the line of content that this new directive wants to implement and which would be related to a more familiar television model. The most commented of these movements is the end of Sálvame, scheduled for June 23, and which represents the final thrust of the Vasile era.
In full controversy over the drastic decision around the La fabrica de tele program, Mediaset has carried out a new reorganization in its leadership. Among these movements, the role that the president of the corporation, Borja Prado, will play, and who has been identified as the main person responsible for the most abrupt changes in the Telecinco grid, stands out.
In this way, Prado will limit himself solely to maintaining institutional work at the head of Mediaset and will not influence when making decisions related to the editorial line of the group or its contents.
These functions will be directly assumed by Alessandro Salem, in a similar way to what happened with his predecessor in the position, and will continue to have Massimo Musolino as CEO of management and operations. This is reflected in the organization chart that the communication group itself has published this Thursday.
Other addresses, such as news or content, as well as the Publiespaña parent company, will also ultimately be directed by Salem.
