The river rises at an altitude of approximately 1100 meters, in the Fuentes del Cardener, located in a valley between the mountains of Port del Comte (2332 m) and that of the Green (2271 m), in the municipality of Coma and Pedra (Solsonès).
The Cardener will flow into the Llobregat river, at the end of CastellgalÃ, after 87 km of travel. In its channel are the reservoirs of La Llosa del Cavall and Sant Ponç.
The Fuentes del Cardener are located 1 km from the town of La Coma. It is duly signposted to get there, although it is recommended to leave the car and walk about 300 meters.
Depending on the time of year, you can enjoy more of its waterfalls and water jets, for example, during the spring thaw.
