Since 1859 we know one of the most important premises for survival: adaptation to change. And although a few political, social and economic cycles have passed, since Darwin made this truth public in The Origin of Species, there are groups that do not quite fit it.

Death often comes suddenly, but the extinction of a species takes a little longer. From the first video store to the last one that was closed, years passed. I couldn’t say if the visionaries were the first, or the last. “It was coming,” said those who always say.

In the market it is perhaps easier to detect a rigidity, a gap, the smell of death from an activity that is going down the drain. Under the rugs there is usually no place for the tangible, but there is for ideas.

Did someone say politics? I’m going with that now.

After several years (and not the best) at the head of a political, economic and social project such as a company, I have been able to discover first-hand that if you are not open to changing your mind, you are doomed to failure. I’m sorry for the spoiler, but I don’t even get 100 partridges from this ending.

Politics should be another screen that the rest of humanity has not reached. With a value proposition that barely exists; with a book of accounts that are not yours; and with the well-being of citizens divided into briefcases that are distributed by ministries, politicians have defended an immovable idea since the world began. The right preaches, feels and practices “things of right-wing people” and the left the same with “things of left-wing people”.

Can you imagine that in Blatem we only sold paintings for people who paint? We would have closed 62 years ago (the year after opening). And can you imagine that we only sold paint to consumers who are militants in a certain political thought? We would have closed by now too.

It is utopian to please everyone, but it is dystopian to exclude part of the world. I want my products to cover as many needs as possible, to be loved by all, and to fulfill the function that any consumer expects. call me dreamy

You, as a citizen, what do you want with your taxes? And with your rights? What do you expect from the work of your politicians?

And you, as a politician, have you done a market study to find out what the Spanish need? Have you collected data about your dreams and your needs? Were there people from all social segments in the focus groups or just your fans? Do you know that you will represent all Spaniards, including those who did not vote for you?

There are again a few days left to re-evaluate ourselves as suppliers and consumers. Be careful, because only those who wonder survive.
