The technological revolution came into our lives in order to improve them. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches and even virtual glasses. However, this endless number of electronic devices has brought with it the so-called digital divide, especially among people over 65 years of age. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), “as age increases, Internet use decreases frequently in both men and women. The lowest percentage corresponds to the age group of 65 to 74 years”. In other words, as the population ages, the use of electronic devices decreases and the digital divide increases. To deal with this digital divide, a series of applications have emerged to help the elderly make it easier for them to use technology.

Some mobile applications have been created to improve the quality of life of the elderly and help them maintain active aging thanks to new technologies.

In addition to these apps that improve the interface and general use of the mobile phone, there are others that help the elderly to maintain active ageing.
