The Provincial Court of Madrid judges from this Wednesday the parents accused of selling their twelve-year-old daughter in 2021 to marry her to the son of the buyers, also a minor, facts for which the Prosecutor’s Office requests seven years in prison for each one from them.

The four, all of them of Romanian nationality, are accused of a crime of trafficking in human beings for the purpose of servitude. The prosecutor, in addition to the prison sentence, asks that the minor be compensated with 30,000 euros for the moral damages caused.

According to the provisional conclusions of the Public Ministry, L.A. and S.O.M. agreed to turn their daughter over to C.A. and M.R. in exchange for an amount of money that has not been determined so that she could live as a partner of her son, who will be 18 years old on September 9.

The prosecutor adds that from that moment on the minor would be subject to the control of her buyers and her son, “who were going to take her from Romania to Spain to live with them, separating her from her biological family and taking the minor out of school, who was not spoke Spanish and had never been in Spanish territory.

It relates that on June 22, 2021, “after subjecting the minor to the handkerchief test that proved her virginity, she was forced to maintain a conjugal relationship with the accused’s son with complete sexual relations.”

A day later, the minor’s parents went to a notary’s office in Romania to state that their daughter would go on to live with the buying woman and that from that moment until 2024 they authorized their daughter to travel abroad accompanied by this defendant.

For this reason, on June 24, 2021, a great party was held in Romania to celebrate the link of the two minors.

Two days later, the couple who bought the minor took her from Bucharest to Madrid and put her up with them in an apartment located in Mejorada del Campo.

From then until the date of the house search carried out on October 4, 2021, the minor remained without schooling, sharing a room and bed with the other young man with whom she had a relationship similar to the conjugal one.

Meanwhile, her documentation, passport and birth certificate, was in the possession of the minor’s parents and she did not have a personal mobile phone, she rarely left the house and when she did, she was accompanied by the defendants or her son.

The minor was taken to Seville on September 17, 2021 by C.A. and M.R. to attend a party that took place the following day to celebrate the union of the two minors again in Spain.
