The PSPV explained this Wednesday that it will not give Compromís one of the two positions it has on the Les Corts Valencianes Board because they are not going to “launder the PP and Vox pact” and “thus give normality to something that is not normal, which is to incorporate and embrace the extreme right”. This is how Arcadi España, acting Minister of Finance and deputy, number 3 on the list for Valencia, explained it with a serious and forceful tone.
Asked about the next constitution of Les Corts, in whose Table the PP has three seats and has ceded one to Vox -the presidency of Parliament- and has asked the Socialists to cede one of their two seats to Compromís, both Spain and the deputy María José Salvador, have explained that “we are going to comply with what the Regulations say”.
In this sense, Salvador has detailed that, according to the electoral result of the past 28-M, although the PP, as the most voted party, had to have three members in the Mesa de Les Corts, they “we are not going to enter into that framework of the PP for everyone to come in.
For its part, Compromís has classified this PSPV decision as an “anti-democratic mistake.” The spokesman for Compromís, Joan Baldoví, regretted the announcement made, since the Mesa de las Corts would be made up of the PP, PSOE and VOX groups and the only group that would be excluded from the governing body of the serious chamber of Compromís.
According to Baldoví, if this decision is confirmed “we would be facing a great mistake contrary to democratic principles to exclude the third group from the chamber and the more than 350,000 Valencians it represents. Compromís has always worked to guarantee the plurality of progressive forces, as we have demonstrated in recent years and in the negotiations of the City Councils. Instead, we see with concern that the PSPV-PSOE seeks to strike down the spirit of the Botanist just to be able to have one more chair.
Baldoví has ??indicated that even knowing the socialist position, they will present a candidacy to be present at the Table and that they hope that, between now and the constitution session, the PSPV-PSOE will reflect and rectify. “In the face of the Vox presidency and the majority with the PP, we believe that two opposition groups will be able to better control the task of the Table. Nobody would understand a Table with PP, Vox, and the PSPV in which the only group vetoed be Compromís ”, added the Valencian spokesman.
On the principle of agreement reached yesterday in Valencia, Spain has been very critical. “From being a clean community, we have become once again in the headlines as the territory of the first pact of the right and the ultra-right,” lamented Spain.
Likewise, the deputy has indicated that “the Valencian right of the PP always goes one step further than the other rights, without even paying attention to the guidelines of Genoa. It is a right wing more doped with extremism than the Spanish right”, he assured.
