Malaga airport has experienced a strange moment today when a man who had missed a flight jumped from a ‘finger’ onto the runway to try to catch a plane bound for Morocco because his boarding was already closed.
As a result of this unusual incident, the Civil Guard has denounced the protagonist of this event who jumped from a ‘finger’ (the walkway that connects the terminal with the plane door) onto the runway of the Málaga-Costa del Sol airport with the intending to catch a flight to Morocco and ends up falling on his back under the astonished gaze of the witnesses.
The images of the incident have gone viral on social networks, where you can see how a man who is late for boarding his flight jumps from the ‘finger’, already disconnected from the plane, to the runway, despite warnings from Workers.
The man skipped access control and slipped through the ‘finger’ to try to get on the plane, but the device had already been disconnected from the gangway and its doors closed, so there was no longer any possibility of accessing it.
Upon reaching the edge of the walkway, the man sits down and gesticulates, until he finally decides to jump and falls backwards onto the runway, where several workers are waiting, raising the alarm to the security teams.
Already on the ground, the man does not try to escape and lies down again on the track suffering from the blow to his back.
The Civil Guard of Malaga has explained this Friday that the operational agents at the Malaga airport acted in accordance with the protocol established in these situations and identified this person, proceeding to denounce him for an infringement of the Aviation Safety Law.
The Civil Guard has not reported the specific day on which the events occurred nor the airline or the exact destination, but it has specified that the affected flight was going from Malaga to a city in Morocco.
