During the last year, Telecinco has drastically modified its television schedule. Since the Fuencarral network put an end to Sálvame last June, Mediaset has looked for new formats and presenters to give its main channel a significant makeover. From the debuts of Sandra Barneda and Ana Rosa Quintana in the afternoon slot, through Carlos Franganillo in Informativos and the new contests.

One of the last ones that the channel will launch premieres tonight, starting at 10:50 p.m. This is Mental Masters presented by Carlos Sobera, an adaptation of the Mental Samurai format produced by Warner Bros, and which the American network FOX broadcast between 2019 and 2021. In this program, six celebrities will compete with the aim of answering questions in the categories of general culture, skill and ingenuity.

However, the contest has a striking twist, and that is that its participants must answer sitting on a large robotic arm. The cumbersome element, nicknamed ADDA, occupies a prominent place on the set, and is responsible for moving the celebrities in all possible directions. He also shakes them and gives the relevant instructions with a multitude of voices, sounds and movements.

“ADDA, a spectacular robotic arm with its own voice, takes them in a capsule that moves in the air at high speed, rotating quickly and even turning them upside down in dizzying movements around the set, receiving various visual and sound stimuli at the same time” , describes Telecinco in its official statement. All this so that those chosen achieve the main objective of the contest: the 20,000 euros prize.

Santiago Segura, Leticia Dolera, Paco Tous, Kira Miró, Rosa López and Edu Casanova will be the first six celebrities who will seek glory and money for charitable purposes. All of them belong to different areas of society, and they will be in charge of answering the questions located in up to four different posts of the study. Mounted on ADDA, they must travel from one post to another and answer, testing their memory, orientation and knowledge.

“With an undisputed role in the development of the contest, ADDA is the distinctive element of Mental Masters par excellence: a sophisticated machine that combines high-precision engineering with powerful software, both created specifically for the program,” says Telecinco in its note. press published on the channel’s website.
