Iván Expósito, councilor elected from VOX on May 28, was sworn in this morning as the new mayor of Náquera, during the Investiture Plenary Session of the City Council and after the government agreement reached yesterday between VOX and the Popular Party.

The agreement, for the next four years, includes both formations in the Governing Board of the municipality. The government will have two deputy mayors from VOX, in addition to the Mayor’s Office, and two others from the Popular Party.

For the mayor Iván Expósito, “it is a pride to be able to represent the party of values ??from the Mayor’s Office of Náquera. I want to thank the people of Naquera for their trust in our project and tell all the neighbors that the facts are proven by working, and we are going to do so from this local institution. The neighbors need us and from today we get to work to improve our town”.

Regarding the government plan, VOX and PP have agreed, among other issues, to reduce taxes and fees and simplify bureaucratic procedures, cut unproductive political spending, defend traditions, culture and popular festivals, promote of local commerce, measures to support families, the protection of children and the care of our elderly, a plan for the conservation and improvement of the historical and artistic heritage and another for sports facilities.

VOX thus obtains its first mayoralty in the Valencian Community in the municipality in which it obtained the majority in the 2019 general elections.
