This Sunday, Survivors 2023: Conexión Honduras returned with multiple conflicts on the table -hooks between María Jesús Ruiz and Alma Bollo and Alexia Rivas’s reproach to Raquel Bollo’s daughter for her “arrogance”-, but also with a beautiful tribute from Farewell to a member of the program’s technical team, who recently died in Honduras.

Ion Aramendi, presenter of the Sunday gala, began the program with a heartfelt speech about this young man, who began working in the Cayos Cochinos when he was a youngster. The loss of him has left the entire team shocked and an irreparable void.

With a lump in his throat and visibly moved, Ion Aramendi, presenter of Survivientes 2023: Conexión Honduras, started the last gala by announcing the death of a program worker in Honduras. “Good night. Today is a very sad day for the great family of Survivors,” said the journalist, alone on the set and with an image of the young man on the giant screen.

“Yesterday Linci Fernández, one of our colleagues who is part of the technical team working in Honduras, left us,” he continued with a solemn voice and accompanied by instrumental music in the background.

Next, Aramendi went on to tell what Lindi was like, the companion with the eternal smile: “I am going to tell you a few words that his colleagues have dedicated to him: ‘Linci was our partner since 2006, when he was only 22 years old. He always had a smile on his face and kind words towards everyone, even in the most difficult times. He loved music, basketball and also had an art in cutting hair. All these hobbies he shared with the whole team ’”.

“For this and much more, he was not just a co-worker, but a great friend, with whom many of us have grown up,” he continued while, from home, viewers could see some photos of Linci.

In these images, the deceased appeared playing basketball with other fellow Survivors, posing in front of the reality show logo, also during the waiting times in full recording in the Cayos Cochinos or getting on the boat with the life jacket on.

To end this emotional tribute, Ion Aramendi concluded with the following words: “He will always have a very special place in our hearts. Linci, this show is for you.”
