Last Saturday Iván Expósito became the first mayor of Vox in the Valencian Community. It was in the town of Nàquera (6,200 inhabitants), where the extreme right formation, which received the most votes, reached a government agreement with the PP.

This pact, which has been disseminated by Vox, contemplates up to 20 measures, among which -complying with the ideology of those of Abascal- “replace the concentrations of ‘No to macho violence’ with ‘No to violence’ or ‘We condemn all violence'”. It is common that after learning of a sexist murder, protest rallies are held in all institutions to denounce this scourge.

It is not the only controversial point that is included in the pact reached that allowed the investiture of Exposito. Point 15 proposes, to “promote constitutional values” and comply with the law on flags, “not to place LGTBI flags on balconies and facades of municipal facilities”, a widespread practice to commemorate days of protest for this group.

There is also talk of defending property against “illegal occupation” or celebrating the day of the Constitution and Hispanic Heritage.

The agreement, for the next four years, includes both formations in the Governing Board of the municipality. The government will have two deputy mayors from VOX, in addition to the Mayor’s Office, and two others from the Popular Party.

In the distribution, there is also an economic agreement that will give exclusive dedication to the mayor and the PP candidate and signatory of the agreement, Vicente Estellés. In addition, the rest of the councilors of the government team will have partial dedication and the right to hire a possible one.

Among the delegations that Vox remains, the Citizen Security stands out; Bullfighting Traditions and Celebrations; Institutional Communication, Family, Life and Senior Citizens; Agriculture, Hunting and Livestock.
