Two men aged 60 and 61 have been injured when the plasterboard ceiling of a restaurant in Santa Pola (Alicante) collapsed, according to information from the Emergency Information and Coordination Center of the Generalitat Valenciana. Both have been assisted by a medical team and transferred to a hospital.
Around 1:50 p.m. today, Tuesday, the CICU received notice of the collapse of the roof of a restaurant, on Marqués de Molins street in Santa Pola.
Until then, it has mobilized a Basic Life Support (SVB) unit and a Primary Care doctor. Medical services have assisted two men. One of them, 61 years old, had a bruise on the head; while the other, 60, has been treated for a head injury.
Both have been transferred to the General University Hospital of Elx, in the basic life support ambulance.
A crew from the Alicante Provincial Council Fire Department and a Civil Guard patrol have also traveled to the restaurant, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat Valenciana.
