Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence was the place chosen by LuisaViaRoma to celebrate the Runway icons Show, a fashion show organized together with Vogue that brought together a good number of fashion lovers. “Florence is the center of the Renaissance, and the Renaissance is the center of Western civilization. So I wanted fashion to be at the center of the world tonight,” said Andrea Panconesi, the fashion store’s general manager.
Up to 28 designers participated in this show who dressed the participating models, including Irina Shayk and Natalia Vodianova, who reappeared spectacularly. The first appeared on the catwalk twice, dressed in two black looks, while the second dazzled in a voluminous white design.
Shayk conquered those present with two powerful outfits in which there was no lack of transparencies, a detail that the model really likes. The first of the looks featured a slip dress, with a halter neck and an asymmetrical neckline. In addition, the design had an asymmetrical skirt with ruffles on the side that added volume to an impeccable style that the top defended with her long hair gathered in a bow and vibrant red lips.
Her second look was marked by transparencies with a suggestive strappy dress that wrapped her body and that had been placed over a tulle strapless neckline dress. She finished off her look with platform sandals and black stockings, a detail that could advance one of the fall-winter trends.
Two looks that had little to do with the one worn by Natalia Vodianova, who was in charge of inaugurating the catwalk with an unmistakable design by Giambattista Valli. The top donned a tulle dress with a strapless neckline and an asymmetrical skirt with many layers that added volume. In addition, the piece also had tulle sleeves and a black bow decorated her chest area. The model also wore her long hair up and red lips.
Models such as Ashley Graham, Bianca Balti and Eva Herzigova also participated on the catwalk. The main objective of this parade was to present the 28 designers who have participated in the creation of capsule collections that will be launched every Thursday, from June 15 to the end of November, at the well-known Italian fashion store.
