Ravel’s Bolero and Dvorák’s Symphony of the New World starred this Tuesday night in a multitudinous concert that the Liceu Symphony Orchestra offered on Barcelona’s Playa del Bogatell under the direction of Josep Pons.
The successful event is part of the Clàssica a la Platja initiative organized jointly by the Liceu, the Auditorium and the Palau de la Música under the auspices of Barcelona Obertura.
This Wednesday, at 9:00 p.m., in the same place, another concert will be held, in this case by the OBC, under the baton of its chief conductor, Ludovic Morlot, with a festive repertoire that includes pieces by Dvorák, Smetana, Rimsky-Korsakov, Bizet and Toldrà.
The concerts, free (and without invitation), can be seen live on Betevé or deferred through the CaixaForum digital platform.
