Zinédine Zidane is making the most of his early retirement. Two years have passed since the Frenchman announced that he was stopping coaching Real Madrid and although for the moment, it is only known that the Frenchman has “returned” to the world of football in the council of wise men created by UEFA headed by Zvonimir Boban; it is known what he is dedicating himself to body and soul: to his large family.

Specifically, to little Sia, his first granddaughter and daughter of his eldest son, Enzo, who has just turned his first year and has the former soccer player totally in love.

Zidane is very active on his social networks, and usually shows what he does every day after moving away from the first line of football. Now the Frenchman takes everything much more calmly, he dedicates himself to enjoying other sports, nature, his dogs and, above all, his family. The coach goes out of his way to make Véronique, the mother of his four children, happy, who has provided him with support and stability.

Married to her since 1989, Zizou has always been very close to his wife, who gave up her career as a dancer not only to help her husband become an international soccer star, but also that of their four children: Enzo, Luca, Theo and Elyaz, who have followed in their father’s footsteps.

The eldest, Enzo, is responsible for Zidane’s smile in the last year, as he is the father of Sia, the girl who turned the former Real Madrid coach into a grandfather. The former footballer’s son welcomed the little girl in May 2022 along with his wife, Karen Gonçalves, whom he married in Marrakech after having to postpone their wedding for more than two years due to the health crisis.

Zidane said goodbye to football after his farewell to Real Madrid in 2021, but it seems that after two years off he would be ready to return. At least, it is what Zizou himself has assured in an interview for GQ, where he affirms that he feels ready to return to the bench.

Renewed, but despite what some of his followers are asking for and the rumors that circulate strongly in the world of French football, Zidane would not be so prepared to take the reins of the French National Team, a role that Didier Deschamps still holds.

It seems that the Frenchman has had time to reflect and disconnect, and precisely for this reason he has realized that he can take a step forward.

“Today I just enjoy life, I have time to go see my parents if I want, to eat with my wife and children when I’m in Madrid, to hang out with my friends. All this is only possible by taking a step back “, he says, “Now I just enjoy life. All this is only possible if you take a step back. My life is always going at a high speed, but now I feel refreshed.”
