Summer has begun with days of blue and red in Rota, in the Bay of Cádiz. As can be seen in this series of photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, clear skies prevail in the morning, while the glare intensely colors the sunset.
We can observe both meteorological phenomena in the fishing port of Rota, on the one hand, and at La Costilla beach, on the other.
In the latter case, we can see how the candelabra takes over the sky and the coast when dusk knocks on the door. As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, at sunset, the light that reaches Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
In a certain way, when this light passes through the clouds, it illuminates them and it could be said that it colors them with those hues.
On the beach of La Costilla there is a comfortable and very pleasant walk between pine trees. In addition, there are several viewpoints along the way to make it easier to enjoy the sunset, although there is nothing like watching it while walking barefoot on the sand.
La Costilla beach is located adjacent to the old town, which makes it very accessible and invites you to take a walk to contemplate the color of the sunset.
