The Mossos d’Esquadra are looking for the author or authors who fatally shot two people this Friday afternoon in Alella (Maresme). The victims are two men aged 31 and 48. One of them was found inside an apartment, at number 18 Calle Masnou, and the other was lying on the ground a few meters from the door of the home. Yesterday the traces of blood were still visible on the sidewalk. The main hypothesis is that the shooting may be related to a drug issue.

After the shots, which went unnoticed by many residents as they were camouflaged by the noise of the festival firecrackers, the perpetrators fled inside a vehicle. Since then, the Mossos d’Esquadra and the local police of Alella, whose agents were the first to arrive at the scene, have deployed a device to locate the suspects in this crime that has dismayed this municipality in the Maresme region. of about 10,000 inhabitants. “It is difficult for us to understand that something like this could have happened and that it was in Alella,” Mayor Marc Almendro explained in statements collected by the Agència Catalana de Notícies. At the beginning of the month, there was another conflict with a firearm at the other end of the town, in the upper part, but a priori the cases would not be related, according to the mayor.

The Consistory has made available to the Mossos d’Esquadra the information captured by the 25 license plate readers that are in different parts of the town in case they help in identifying the aggressors.

Some residents close to the street where the bodies were discovered, located in the Can Sors neighborhood, explained to the Acn agency that they used to see “many different people coming and going” in the building where the crime took place.
