The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is very special. They are confidants, playmates and do not have as much responsibility for the education of children. For this reason, although you don’t have to indulge their whims or tantrums either, they can afford to be more lax with the little ones.

In addition to this close bond with the grandchildren, grandparents are an essential pillar to favor the reconciliation of work and family life. During the school year this role is already very helpful, but it becomes even more important when the summer holidays arrive. Not surprisingly, children have much more free time and while their parents work someone must stay in charge.

Although spending time with grandchildren is very beneficial and enjoyable for grandparents, it is also true that it can be stressful and exhausting, both physically and mentally. After all, the elderly don’t have as much energy as children, who never seem to run out of batteries. For this reason, it is always good to have a list of activities and games on hand to keep them entertained.
