Meera Bhardwaj-Patel and Will Brown have gone viral for converting a van into a house on wheels for just £15,000, or around €17,500. The couple from the United Kingdom bought the white vehicle for 7,000 pounds (about 8,170 euros) and began the reform.

She was traveling for two years through Southeast Asia and Costa Rica and she liked the option of being able to travel the world with a van so much that her roommate told her “I would love to do that, but it is probably a pipe dream”. And then she met Will, an engineer who, despite not having traveled much, also wanted to embark on this adventure.
So they began to form their home project in what they pointed out is an investment for the future, because everything they save from rent will be used to buy a house later.
The first thing they did after buying the vehicle was to acquire solar panels, since they wanted it to be self-sustaining and, thanks to solar energy, they could live in a more respectful way with the environment. In other words, they only need gasoline to travel, and in their daily lives they use renewable energy to charge their mobile phones, cook, etc.
The second step was to insulate the walls and rebuild the salary with plywood. Next, they built the kitchen cabinets, storage compartments, and the bed frame. For this, they watched many YouTube tutorials, since they did not have external help for the reform.
As they explained in their posts on TikTok, where they have reached 1.9 million views, the most expensive part was the electrical system. “It cost around 2,500 pounds (about 2,900 euros),” Brown explained of the total that they invested in renovating the van. But thanks to this installation they can connect lights, mobiles, and computers. So in this way they can telework without problems.
