The Mossos d’Esquadra have ordered the evacuation for a few minutes this Monday afternoon of the Plaza Catalunya station, in the center of Barcelona, ??due to the possible presence of an explosive device.

It was around 5:00 p.m. when the Catalan police asked those present, both at the Rodalies station and at the metro facilities, to leave the area on suspicion of a bomb in one of the convoys.

Specifically, the notice was received from a train on the R4 line from Viladecavalls (Barcelona), and when it arrived at the station, the Mossos arrested it and evicted the passengers inside.

The agents “have carried out the pertinent protocols and checks in these cases” and have determined that the notice was false, at which time circulation has been restored and the station has been reopened, as explained by the police force.

In this way, as Adif points out on social networks, “the trains of lines R1, R3 and R4 of the core of Barcelona gradually recover their usual frequency”.
