Concern continues regarding the state of health of Carmen Sevilla. The veteran actress and television presenter was admitted last night to the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital after complications derived from her Alzheimer’s. Little else is known about one of the most significant figures in the history of television in Spain, and it will not be from sources that have been consulted. Not even Sandra Barneda has been able to get the water clear at her premiere on Mediaset.
In the first information given in the history of her program, Telecinco’s ‘Así es la vida’ has connected live with the Madrid medical center where the actress is currently located. The team of the new evening magazine has denied the information that Sevilla was admitted to the Puerta del Hierro hospital, thus confirming that she is still at the Jiménez Díaz Foundation. Along with this, the secrecy around her health has also been reiterated.
According to the sources provided by the program, no member of Carmen Sevilla’s family has issued any statement or bit of information in this regard. The same family showed the same level of secrecy when the veteran presenter was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2009. A few years later she would retire from public life, and since then little else has been known about her chores until now.
Who has spoken about Carmen Sevilla has been one of her best friends, Norma Duval. The well-known actress answered questions from Semana magazine from outside of Spain, showing that she was very surprised at the arrival of Seville at 92 years of age. “I have found out about this from the press, because you are calling me. You are making calls and I understand it, but I don’t know anything. I have no news about her, so I am not going to make any more statements”, were his words.
Although the news of the admission has generated more doubts than answers, half of Spain has crowded to show their love and support for the renowned presenter of ‘Telecupón’ and ‘Cinema de barrio’. Hundreds of thousands of people showed her unconditional support for the actress, sending good wishes through social networks, wishing her a speedy recovery and keep going.
Unfortunately, Carmen Sevilla is not the only presenter of ‘Cinema de barrio’ who has suffered health complications in the last few hours. In what turns out to be a sad coincidence, her partner Concha Velasco is also going through a very difficult time, according to various sources. It was Mariló Montero who raised the alarm about it: “I have decided that I will no longer go to see Concha, the last time, when I left, they automatically took her to the hospital.”
