In these times, many arguments are not needed to give wings to conspiracy theories such as the one known as chemtrails. Looking at the sky in search of remnants of supposed chemical or biological products sprayed from airplanes with Machiavellian intentions, to subdue the conscience of citizens, seems to be a growing trend, especially on social networks.
The appearance, observation and filming in various parts of southern France and northern Spain, on Monday June 26, of a spectacular undulating white contrail (much more curved than the usual airplane contrails) has provoked a new wave of conspiracy comments. In this case, fortunately, there have also been quick reactions from experts who have exposed possible explanations for the phenomenon.
The unique trail (a trail left in the air by a moving body) could have been caused by the launch and high-altitude flight of a French ship, as indicated, for example, by Marco Langbroek, an expert in monitoring optical phenomena at the space and professor at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Delft (The Netherlands).
Langbroek recalled in a series of notes on his Twitter account (days before the appearance of the stele) the recent publication by the French General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) of two security notices in the Bay of Biscay area due to the next experimental flight of a French military ship.
The origin of the flight and the aircraft involved have not been officially detailed (presumably for military security reasons) but the specialized (unofficial) Military Zone page indicated in an article published on June 24 that the security notices in The Bay of Biscay area could be due to the upcoming launch of the first experimental flight of the VMAX hypersonic glider or a test flight of the M51 missile.
Both possibilities would be compatible with the wake formed on Monday the 26th and observed at a long distance due to the great height of this type of trajectory.
The astrophysicist and researcher Josep Maria Trigo, member of the Research Network on Bolides and Meteorites and professor at the Institute of Space Sciences of Catalonia (CSIC-IEEC), explained to La Vanguardia that the phenomenon has been observed from very remote areas because the contrail was generated at high altitudes at a time of atmospheric stability.
“Sunlight increased the visibility of this contrail and the stability made it possible for it to be maintained for a long time, which would also explain the deformation, in any case, it is an expected phenomenon in this type of flight that has nothing to do with false chemtrails theories”, points out Josep Maria Trigo, considering the explanations suggested by Marco Langbroek as completely probable.
