The Civil Guard together with the Cunit Local Police have arrested two people responsible for a marijuana plantation in a chalet in the Costa Cunit urbanization (Baix Penedès) on June 21. During the intervention, the police forces also relocated 453 plants and plantation material, such as transformers, specific heat-emitting lamps, marinades, and refrigeration devices.
The two people arrested are accused of crimes against public health and electricity fraud, after verifying that there were two irregular connections in the public electricity network.
The detainees have already been handed over to Court number 4 of Vendrell and are charged with crimes of drug trafficking and electricity fraud.
