The Civil Guard is investigating a possible case of sexist violence in Torrox (Málaga), after a 69-year-old man, an ex-military officer, tried to shoot his ex-partner in the street, who has been transferred to a hospital in serious condition, and then committed suicide with the same gun.
The events occurred around 3:50 p.m. this afternoon on José Ariza street in this municipality of Malaga, when the alleged murderer shot the woman on a public highway and subsequently killed himself with a shot to the head. The Civil Guard has taken over the investigation.
Apparently, both were from Seville and had been separated for a long time, although the woman had recently lived on the coast of Malaga, where her children also reside, one in Torrox and the other in Nerja. The woman has been evacuated to the Hospital Comarcal de la Axarquía, in neighboring Vélez-Málaga, in a very serious condition and with a guarded prognosis, and was conscious when the toilets arrived and the ambulance took her away.
