Viladecans already has everything ready to celebrate the 34th edition of the Festival al Carrer, which will bring together 36 performing arts companies that will perform in the streets of the Baix Llobregat town between June 30 and July 2. As reported by the City Council through a statement, a total of 68 functions will be offered.
“As usual, the programming reviews all kinds of genres and formats, from playful dance installations to pyromusicals or circus”, the Consistory has reported. The mayor, Carles Ruiz, said this Tuesday in the presentation that Viladecans is “the capital of street theater in Spain. This festival is added to Christmas and the February arts exhibition.”
After some editions marked by the covid, once the pandemic was overcome, the Al Carrer de Viladecans festival recovers the presence of international companies, which travel from countries such as France and Belgium. The locals will also continue to play a leading role.
However, according to the Consistory, more than 30,000 attendees are expected in Viladecans this weekend. A figure “similar” to the public that attends the functions of the Atrium throughout the year.
