The eighth edition of the DeltaChamber Music Festival continues to expand classical music throughout the territory and for the first time reaches the four counties of the Terres de l’Ebre. Between July 20 and August 6, concerts will be held in Amposta, Ulldecona, Deltebre, Flix, Roquetes and Horta de Sant Joan.

The program includes 33 concerts, some accompanied by guided tours of the unique spaces where tastings will take place. Another novelty this year is that the cast will include two of the best voices on the European opera scene and it will be the first time that there will be a singing voice at the festival. In addition, the young talent contest returns, the individual concerts and there will be two children’s concerts with clarinetists from Ebre created for the occasion.

For almost three weeks there will be twenty individual concerts, one of the flagship proposals of the DeltaChamber. In addition, as a first, an ensemble of clarinetists from the DeltaChamber Música Festival has been created, a group made up of excellent musicians from Terres de l’Ebre and who will perform two children’s concerts, one of the novelties of the festival in its eighth edition.

The program has been baptized as ‘Arrels i paraules’ and for the first time it will have voices sung with classical music. The cast will be made up of Elena Copons, international soprano, and Anna Brull Piñol, mezzo-soprano soloist of Oper Graz from Austria; nine prestigious wind/wood, string and piano instrumentalists along with five musicians who are part of the festival’s Young Talent and Academy program of educational excellence.

The DeltaChamber will unite words with music by composers such as Montasalvatge or De Falla, Strauss or Brahms. The main concerts will be accompanied by trapas by chef Xavi Montañés and wine from Les Vinyes del Convent. In addition, there will be two workshops for all audiences on creativity and meditation.

Through an ephemeral architecture competition of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya Demarcacio de l’Ebre, the central concert space, the Museu de les Terres de l’Ebre in Amposta, will be dressed up. And the image of the eighth edition has once again been entrusted to a designer from the Ebre, in this case, Ivan Forcadell.

The festival is created, developed and promoted by the Ampostinos Laura Ruiz Ferreres, clarinet professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main (Germany) and the clarinet soloist of the Oxford Philharmonic orchestra (United Kingdom), and Pau Rodríguez Ruiz, director and clarinet teacher at the Escola y Center Professional de Música La Lira Ampostina and member of the Amman Camber Orchestra (Jordan).
