Rovellats is a winery located in the Penedès with more than 100 years of history that produces wines and cavas. Since Josep Vallès Rovira started cava production in the 1920s, Rovellats has evolved from a work philosophy based on quality.

His Rovellats estate has represented the purest Catalan tradition since the 15th century. The small town of Sant Martí Sarroca, in Alt Penedés, has been the enclave in which this historic farmhouse, made up of various buildings with medieval vestiges and surrounded by a modernist garden, has gradually been surrounded by vineyards.

This winery can boast of having the only radial-shaped cellar in the Penedès (12 meters deep, designed under a unique radial architectural conception) and of having in its facilities the chapel of the Virgin of Montserrat and its collection of modernist posters and old bottles.

There are already three generations dedicated to the production of wine and cava. At the beginning of the 20th century, Josep Vallès Rovira, founder of the cellars, began the production of sparkling wines. Later, Rosa Vallès and Joan Cardona, the second generation in charge of the cellar, introduced important innovations both in the winery and in the vineyard.

Today, Mª Rosa and Josep Cardona, the third generation, are in charge of leading the more than 210 hectares of the property, maintaining the commitment to the environment that has always characterized the firm and the majority commitment to varieties. autochthonous.

In Rovellats they work with their own grapes, which once turned into wine rest under the shelter of the 15th century farmhouse. Only when the quality reaches its optimal point are bottles loaded with history and family tradition that clearly denote all the knowledge accumulated after long years of learning and rigour.

Rovellats wines and cavas are elegant and exhibit a strong sense of territory, seeking to perpetuate the style of the house while respecting the vineyard and past times as much as possible, but without turning our backs on the innovation of the new times.

Gran Reserva Brut Nature, a bottled treasure

An example of this quality is his Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2016 cava, a love story for the land, wine, cava and people. Ideal for all celebrations, this 70% xarel·lo, 15% macabeo and 15% parellada proposal obtains a clear straw yellow color with golden tones.
