San Lorenzo de El Escorial will celebrate this Sunday, July 2, a popular family cycling march, as well as a children’s and youth competition, on the occasion of World Bicycle Day, which takes place on the 3rd.
The march will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Plaza de la Constitución and will end at the hermitage of the Virgen de Gracia in La Herrería, the City Council specified in a note.
Once the participants of the march have arrived, starting at 11:30 a.m., the XXI Edition of the Promotion of Cycling will be held in the hermitage of the Virgen de Gracia, in which children from 2 to 14 years of age can participate.
The races will be divided into the following categories: promises A1 (from 2 to 3 years), promises A2 (from 4 to 5 years), promises B (from 6 to 8 years), beginners (from 9 to 10 years), fry ( 11 to 12 years old) and children (13 to 14 years old).
After the competitions, trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each race and a gift to all participants.
Once these tests are over, all participants will be given a plate of paella and an electric scooter donated by Talleres Escorial will be raffled.
People who wish to participate in the activities of the day, organized by the Escurialense Cycling Club and the City Council, must fill out the registration that will be free.
