A 20-year-old cyclist has died in a traffic accident in Villaspesa (Teruel) after suffering a fatal collision with the vehicle in which his parents were traveling.
The event occurred around 9:30 p.m. this Wednesday on the TE-6014 highway and although the injured person was urgently transferred to the Obispo Polanco Hospital in Teruel, he ended up dying at 01:45 a.m. due to head and chest injuries.
As the Civil Guard has detailed to La Vanguardia, the causes of the accident have not yet been clarified. They make it clear that the vehicle was ahead. They are investigating whether the parents’ car braked without time for the young man to avoid the collision or if he was going too fast and lost control.
The fatal victim, according to the Heraldo, was studying a career related to sports in Elche and was in his native Teruel to spend the holidays with the family. The cyclist’s parents were physically unharmed in the accident.
