The PSOE demands an “explanation” from the Popular Party in relation to the collection of more than 39,260 euros by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the president of the PP, as “representation expenses”.
In an interview on TVE, Patxi López, the spokesperson for the PSOE in Congress, has defined Feijóo’s charge as a “bonus” and added that an explanation is “necessary” from the PP “beyond the publication” of the figure.
The PP revealed yesterday that the figure that Feijóo charges from the party as “representation expenses” amounts to 39,260 euros, a figure that added to the 70,000 euros that he enters as a senator exceeds 100,000 euros.
“Someone who is against the increase in pensions charges twice the SMI in bonuses,” López assured. In addition, the socialist spokesman has stated that “nobody from the PSOE” has ever received a “bonus”, adding that “this only happens in the PP”.
More figures from the Socialist Party have spoken about the charges of the popular president. The Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, has reproached Feijóo for “skipping the anti-corruption control that all public officials must comply with”. Eva Granados, senator from the PSOE, has also commented on Feijóo’s charge through her social networks and has asked the popular president for “a little decency and respect for the Chamber.”
