I share in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia this photograph taken in Roses at summer sunset from the port. I accompany it with a video to capture the moment.

In the image we can see a sunset with a cloudy sky and tangled with high clouds painted in an earthy color, while the sun stands out for its completely red color.

All this because the smoke from the fires coming from Canada has reached Catalonia across the Atlantic.

The best time to capture this moment is early or late in the day. Fortunately, these clouds are located in the highest layer of the atmosphere and do not pose any health risk.

Very intense fires, such as those that affect Canada, are capable of raising the smoke to high levels of the atmosphere and, in these layers, a current of air in height, the jet stream, is capable of moving that cloud thousands of kilometers away.
