The July 23 elections are just around the corner and sensitivity to the statements made on public television have led to the cancellation of a RTVE program presented by Inés Hernand after getting completely wet.
The LGTBI Pride special of the Gen Playz XL program has been abruptly withdrawn at the order of RTVE after its presenter had made some statements that several political formations in our country did not like at all.
“I have to say that the good guys always win. Although the violence is structural, I have no doubts about the victory of a progressive government in the next general elections”, commented Inés Hernand to conclude the program.
This has led many to criticize the fact that a statement so clearly favorable to certain parties was made on public television with the elections very close, and to heal itself, RTVE has decided to eliminate it.
“They have turned RTVE into PSOE TV. Shame”, they commented alluding to the video from the New Generations account of the Popular Party, in addition to adding many criticisms of the trend of the program.
“RTVE orders the withdrawal of the Gen Playz XL special on Pride after its live broadcast. A statement not contemplated in the production company’s script could affect its commitment to neutrality despite being an entertainment program,” the public channel later reported.
