This Friday, June 30, the Badalona dog park (Barcelonès Nord) has opened, located for the second consecutive summer on the Patins de Vela beach, in the section behind the ‘Mireia Belmonte’ Municipal Pool.
The space has an area of ??900 m², is delimited and physically separated from the rest of the arena by fences and in the water marked with buoys. To ensure that the area is kept in optimal condition, daily cleaning will be carried out with screening and manually.
The beach may be used by all citizens and their dogs and it is recommended that the capacity of 60 people and 40 dogs not be exceeded. In terms of suitability for bathing, this facility is governed by the same rules as the rest of the beach and, therefore, it is essential to follow the recommendations of the lifeguard and rescue service and the beach signage with the corresponding flag.
The Councilor for the Environment and Animal Welfare Area, Sonia Egea Pérez, explained that: “The previous Government did not provide for the installation of the space for dogs and we have had to improvise its implementation with the environment brigade that has carried out a good job”. “We will work so that next year we can enjoy a space for dogs in optimal conditions”, the councilor concluded.
