Madrid, June 29 (EFE).- Alberto Núñez Feijóo will not attend the debate to four of Radiotelevisión Española on July 19, in which Pedro Sánchez, Santiago Abascal and Yolanda Díaz will be, but not the popular ones, who reject it when they understand that it is “incomplete” and “lack of interest”. The PP will not attend the debate with four from RTVE nor the one offered by PRISA, according to what sources of the formation have transferred to the media.
This party insists on asking for a seven-person debate together with the candidates of PSOE, Vox, Sumar and also with the heads of the ERC, PNV and EH Bildu list, but this is not the formula proposed by RTVE, which will hold a debate with the parliamentary spokesmen on July 13.
The PP, which has not attended the meeting held today by the public channel with the rest of the formations, assures that if RTVE “reconsiders its decision”, already agreed with the other parties, Feijóo would attend a debate of seven with the candidates.
This party criticizes that Pedro Sánchez does not want a second confrontation of seven with Feijóo, together with the face to face in Atresmedia on July 10, despite the fact that according to the PP he is “eager for debates” and seeks a campaign of being “locked up in a set” instead of “a pie de calle”.
The popular argue that “to confront ideas between candidates with the possibility of reaching the Presidency of the Government there is the face to face” already agreed in Atresmedia, while for a broader debate “the most honest thing” is that the ERC, PNV and Bildu are there. that, as they maintain, “they have spent five years drafting the laws that the PSOE endorses and establishing the positions that the Government defends.”
