The left back Adrià Pedrosa, who played for Espanyol in recent seasons, has reached an agreement with Sevilla for the next five seasons, until June 30, 2028, the Andalusian club reported this Saturday.
Sevilla remembers that the Catalan player becomes the second incorporation for the 2023-24 campaign, after the Argentine center-back Federico Gattoni, coming from San Lorenzo de Almagro in his country, to which is added the continuity in the squad of the French center-back Loïc Badé, signed on property after being on loan from January to May by the French Stade Rennes.
“Adrià Giner Pedrosa (Barcelona, ??May 13, 1998) is a left-back with a long history. Initially trained in the youth ranks of the UE Castelldefels and EF Gavà, at the age of 16 he arrived at the RCD Espanyol academy to join the his second youth team”, Sevilla points out in its letter.
“Two years later, at the close of the 2016/17 season, he made his debut with the blue and white subsidiary in Segunda B, with whom he participated in the last five days. He settled in Espanyol B the following season and played 30 games in Third, which makes him catch the attention of Rubi, who summons him for the first time on the sixth league day of the 2018/19 season and makes him debut, as a starter and playing 90 minutes, on the 16th date in Cornellá-El Prat against Real Betis”, added the statement.
In the 2022/23 season, the last of his contract, Pedrosa missed a large part of the year due to injury, although he arrived in time for the final stretch of the course and, since his reappearance in April, he played seven games.
Regarding his international facet, Pedrosa played nine games with Spain under-21 between October 2019 and May 2021 and played the final phase of the Euro 2021 category, in which the team was knocked out in the semifinals.
Espanyol announced last Thursday that Pedrosa would stop being a footballer for the Barcelona club on Friday since he was not renewing with the blue and white entity.
