The 23-year-old passenger of a vehicle has died and the driver is in critical condition as a result of the accident that occurred this Sunday on the AP-7 motorway as it passed through the Tarragona town of Freginals.
The Servei Català de Trànsit has informed that the emergency services have been alerted at 07:07 hours of this accident, which took place at kilometer 332 of the AP-7, in the direction of Barcelona.
The car, for reasons that are now being investigated, has left the road and has overturned, an accident that has caused the death of the passenger who was traveling in the front seat.
It is the young man J.D.S.T., 23 years old and a resident of Amposta (Tarragona), according to Tránsit. The driver was injured in critical condition and was taken to the Joan XXIII hospital in Tarragona.
With this Sunday there are 73 people who have died in a traffic accident so far this year on the interurban roads of Catalonia.
