The mayor of Badalona, ??Xavier Garcia Albiol, has stated that he is not willing for the city’s beaches to become a campsite or a public picnic area. To this end, it has issued a municipal proclamation in which it warns that attitudes such as having loud music bothering the rest of the beach users, camping in tents, making a fire or using umbrellas with non-diaphanous sides and camping tables, may entail a penalty of between 600 and 1,500 euros.

Albiol acknowledges that “inadmissible situations” are experienced on the beaches of Badalona and through the municipal side wants to warn that “the beach belongs to everyone and it is not a private estate where a few can do whatever they want”.

The side also insists on regulating floating elements, such as kayaks, surfboards or paddle-surfing, which must necessarily make use of the marked entry and exit channels of boats. Bathing is prohibited in this area. Along the same lines, he warns of the ban. to fish from the Pont del Petroli and outside the established hours (from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.)

Also, throughout the year, street vending on the beaches of Badalona and the use of showers and footbaths with personal hygiene products and use other than that for which they are intended are prohibited.
