We are in the middle of summer and the mountains and beaches are going to be filled with people who want to make the most of the freedom offered by free time and good weather. Road trips and nomadism are gaining popularity, and more and more couples are opting for camping holidays rather than staying in the same all-inclusive hotel.

For all those who want to enjoy the best that the camper world has to offer without having to spend huge sums of money to achieve a minimum of comfort, there are tailor-made options. For example, this one recently arrived from the hand of the French company CampXcar: it is called CoconUp and it is a small camper trailer that is very cute.

It is expressly designed for weekend adventurers and is perfect for escaping into nature and taking advantage of the comfort offered by sleeping in a bed under a roof in the middle of nature. And it is that not all lovers of the natural environment are willing to give up the comfort and privacy of their own room.

The CoconUp is a compact mini camper that can be towed with almost any car. It has a quadrangular shape and basically offers a bed with a roof for two and four well-insulated walls for sleeping at night, creating a space that becomes a living-dining room during the day.

Although it is true that it does not have an extraordinary space to move inside, its generous windows contribute to increasing the sensation of spaciousness and allow the space to be well ventilated and fresh. The dining room can accommodate up to five people.

If you add some budget to your setup, you can add livability-enhancing options like an awning, solar-powered shower, kitchenette with cabinets, fridge-freezer, and even a portable toilet.

Handcrafted with materials of French origin, it is mostly made of aluminum and weighs only 380 kg in its basic version. Two sizes are available: Compact and Comfort. The only difference between the two is the length and weight: 3.10m and 380kg for the former; and 3.60 m and 420 kg for the second.

The Compact comes in various styles, including the Summer Edition, Panda, Magpie, and Tiny Wood, named for the colors of the exterior and interior. To further increase its appeal, CoconUp offers excellent customization capabilities for each unit.

The Compact version starts at €8,990, while the Comfort starts at €9,990. It is clear that it is a higher rate than that of a hotel. But if you take into account the prices of conventional caravans or campers, it is certainly an option to consider for those looking for a small motorhome for weekends that is light and compact.
