Paz Padilla has spent a few weeks full of curious moments. Between her statements after the closure of Sálvame, the invitation to José Luis López’s birthday party and the scare suffered with her daughter on her vacation, the renowned presenter and television collaborator does not stop for a day. Once again, the woman from Cádiz has been the protagonist on social networks after a video emerged of her with a well-known figure in current Spanish politics.
In the images that have gone viral on TikTok, the television personality has been seen dancing with Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, deputy and spokesman in Congress for VOX, as well as being responsible for International Relations. The clip lasts a few seconds, and both share a dance while asking the person recording them to stop, all in a humorous and relaxed tone.
It is not the first time that the humorist and the politician are seen before the cameras, showing a more than palpable friendship relationship. The last instance occurred in January of this same year, when Padilla embraced Espinosa de los Monteros at another moment captured by the cameras. It happened at the venue where the International Tourism Fair was being held, and the deputy warned his partner after the gesture: “They are going to crucify you.”
The images have not gone unnoticed on social networks and have generated a large chain of reactions. Only on TikTok, where the video was originally published, the views are close to forty thousand, while it accumulates more than sixty comments responding to the complicity between Padilla and Espinosa de los Monteros. “With this he shows how this lady is. And now I do understand many things that happened in Sálvame with Jorge Javier”, commented a user.
This particular reaction referred to one of Padilla’s most commented moments on the Telecinco program, which earned him a bad reputation on social networks. In January 2022, the then substitute presenter of the afternoon show was fired after a heated discussion with Belén Esteban regarding the COVID-19 vaccination. The woman from Cádiz did not see her faces again with any of her former teammates, but she had words for them recently.
Interviewed after the point and end of Sálvame, Padilla did not show any kind of rancor after what happened a year and a half ago: “I think they have to be very happy because we know what television is like and everything goes up and down, it’s a cycle, so they have to be happy to have been part of this program that has already gone down in history, because except for Jordi Hurtado’s, there aren’t that many that have lived so long, and what you have to stay with is lucky to have been part of that history ”.
