A 32-year-old man has been seriously injured when his hand was practically amputated as a result of a machete blow he received while defending a woman who was being robbed outside a nightclub in Granada.
According to the newspaper Ideal and confirmed by the unified emergency service 112 of Andalusia, around 6:25 a.m. last Friday, several people warned of the situation of a 31-year-old man who had a hand “almost amputated “, after receiving a machete while defending a woman in the context of a fight that broke out at the gates of a well-known local on Gran Capitán street.
According to the local media, the man was mediating in the robbery when he felt a strong blow, which at first he thought had been with a stick. Seconds later he realized that he had been slashed.
The people who warned of this situation explained to Europa Press that they had applied a tourniquet to the wounded man’s affected arm, and 061 doctors and members of the National Police and the Local Police were mobilized.
The victim was evacuated to the Parque Tecnológico de la Salud hospital, according to EFE. Finally, due to the complex operation that he needs, he was referred to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, where he is still admitted.
