In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see this endearing scene of the mother marmot with her little one, in Berguedà.
When spring arrived, the marmots came out of hibernation and now the little ones are growing. At the end of April I was able to capture the image of the groundhog kiss, which was already published at the time.
Now I have captured this cute image of the little groundhog snuggling up to the mother. Of course, although they are sociable with other members of the family, they tend to be very fierce against predators and other strangers that invade their territory.
Groundhogs enjoy socializing with each other. Regardless of age, they groom each other and greet each other by rubbing noses.
Groundhogs prefer an open habitat that allows them to spot predators from a distance and run for cover. They live in a family structure. A family can have between 10 and 20 young, which live with their parents until maturity.
