For the last fourteen years, Sálvame has been synonymous with Telecinco afternoons and the world of the heart. The veteran evening magazine covered, for almost a decade and a half, millions of tabloid stories with a large number of collaborators. One of them, and possibly one of the most iconic names in the history of the program, is Belén Esteban, who has confessed how hard she had it during her last editions.
The veteran participant in the show presented by Jorge Javier Vázquez opened up about her mental health and feelings in an interview on Superlatives, Carlota Corredera’s podcast. In it, Belén details how the final days of Sálvame were for her and the setbacks she suffered, including the casualties of several of her colleagues, leading her to require psychological attention to try to overcome her difficult emotional burden.
“Save me has been the program of my life and I think it will be very difficult to find a similar program. But I have a peace of mind since June 23… because the last month I had a very bad time. It was a lot of stress, I saw the team… and now I am very well, I honestly tell you, ”he explained to Corredera. Along with these statements, the long-time collaborator confirmed that the final goodbye to the program was much more difficult than she thought.
“I am not going to hide it, I am going to a psychologist to help me with my emotions. I am a very emotional aunt, I am diabetic and this month I have had a very bad time. So I want to get some rest,” she recounted. Esteban pointed out how seeing teammates leave the program in stages, including the loss of Jorge Javier Vázquez, was a hard blow, from which he will now be able to recover little by little with the help of a specialist.
Despite the complicated farewell to the program that launched her to stardom, the Paracuellos native also keeps her eye on the new format of La Fábrica de la Tele, in which she will participate with seven other colleagues: “I am super excited and very happy It seems that I am 15 years old. I want to enjoy it. I don’t know what we’re going for either and I love adventure. My mother, the poor thing, has asked me for a new TV so that I can put Netflix on it. But it is that her friends have also asked me to do it ”.
In the same way, the well-known television personality has confessed that he prefers to rest from television once the project is finished, but that he would like to be able to stay in Miami, where the new program will be recorded. “If they offer me to stay there working, I will stay and take off the name of Belén Esteban. I want them to call me ‘La Patrona’ there, because she is the boss. They offer it to me and I swear I’m going there, ”she revealed.
