Diners can sometimes be disrespectful or understanding of waiters or restaurant managers. The @SoyCamarero account is in charge of collecting some of the most absurd situations, in addition to denouncing the precarious conditions that exist in the sector, such as the one he explains in one of his latest publications.
The comment that a client has left to an establishment whose kitchen burned down in full service has not taken long to provoke the indignation of the users.
“We had ordered to eat 30 long minutes ago and we have had the bad luck that the kitchen has burned down,” the diner begins by saying in a Google review. Apparently, an incident in the kitchen caused a fire in the middle of the restaurant’s night service.
The comment does not end here, and continues by saying: “They have charged us for the beers and they have not given us any solution, leaving eight people without anything to eat at 11:00 p.m.” The lack of empathy and the bad review of this client have caused a large number of users on Twitter to explode against this situation.
The @SoyCamarero account has shared an image of the review accompanied by the following text: “Well, nothing, now I’ll make you some tortillas while the kitchen is on fire…”. “Let’s see what little professionals, do not take advantage of the flames to make even some grilled steaks for the clients to eat. No, safety first and call the fire brigade. How is the service my son!!”, says another.
We have had the bad luck that the kitchen has burned down. The unlucky ones are them, of course,” says another tweet. Another ironically adds: “How strange that they haven’t complained about the heat…”. “What a lack of empathy!”
However, in the same post, other people have expressed a similar opinion to that of the diner who was complaining, indicating that the restaurant should also be more understanding with the situation of its customers. “Well, in this case I don’t see the customer’s comment as bad, the waiters and the venue are not to blame, but the minimum after leaving 8 people without eating at 11:00 p.m. is to offer them an alternative or at least not charge them for the drinks Just out of courtesy.”
