In a ceremony that has marked the social chronicle, Tamara Falcó and Íñigo Onieva have been married this Saturday, July 8. This wedding, which has survived numerous problems, has been the culmination of their four-year relationship and has brought together nearly 400 guests. The notable absence of Enrique Iglesias, brother of the bride, has been joined by that of one of her former great friends: the presenter and writer Boris Izaguirre.
Izaguirre, while the wedding of the year was being celebrated, has chosen to distance himself from the celebration. After some statements related to the ideology of the collaborator of ‘El Hormiguero’ and Onieva, Izaguirre was excluded from the wedding guest list. To put land in the middle and find out the smallest details, the Venezuelan has decided to travel to Zurich.
During these days, Izaguirre has been sharing his experience in the Swiss city. In an attempt to change the focus of attention, he published a message on his social networks in which he showed that he was oblivious to everything that was happening in Madrid: “And now playing David Bowie’s Modern Love, thanks @rubennog for the walk, the Alps in the background, Zurich once again! Love, Boris”.
The conflict between Izaguirre and the Falcó family has its roots in events that happened a few months ago. The Marquise de Griñón decided to break up with Onieva after a video was leaked in which she kissed a mysterious woman who was not Tamara. That episode was highly commented and Falcó herself gave the pertinent explanations, implying that she could not forgive something like that. Izaguirre also spoke on the subject and, as she could not be otherwise, she positioned herself on the side of her friend.
In this way, the journalist published an article that sparked discomfort among the members of the Preysler-Falcó family, since it implied that he had never trusted the businessman, who finally ended up winning Tamara back. But as if this were not enough, Izaguirre also expressed his discomfort at Falcó’s attendance at an ultra-Catholic congress in Mexico, where he had some unfortunate words against the homesexual collective.
Izaguirre, one of the most influential gays in Spain, did not want to put himself in profile and returned to express his most sincere opinion. “In a kind of joint effort we managed to get Tamara away from her deceitful Íñigo Onieva. Now we should repeat the effort to get her away from that hateful ideology that surrounds her,” he wrote, something that he also felt quite badly.
These words marked the beginning of a cold distancing that has been evidenced in the notorious absence of Izaguirre at the marriage celebration. Since then, both parties have gone their separate ways, although the writer has always stressed that he has nothing against his old friend and that, if it were up to him, he would like to recover the friendship.
